Memory Upgrades

Improve your computers performance

Memory UpgradesThe amount of RAM in your computer has a direct impact on your computer's processing speed. The larger your computer's RAM, the quicker it is able to perform certain functions. If you don't have enough RAM, your computer will use temporary disk space instead (virtual memory), which will substantially slow down performance.

  • Memory (Faster memory and more of it can be the cheapest and fastest way of speeding up a PC, lower memory latency and higher clock speeds, such as DDR2 at 1066Mhz in dual channel mode and DDR3 1600Mhz in the new tri-channel mode will greatly increase speed. If you were, using XP then 1 - 2 GB would be fine. If you were using Vista or Windows 7 then 4 - 6 GB + would be best.)
The memory needed will have to be determined by either:
  1. Visiting the manufactures website stating the make and model of the computer.
  2. Opening the computer case and inspecting the memory already there and matching the same clock speeds.
  3. Via the main motherboard documentation which will show what the type of memory that your system can use and what the CPU will allow.
NoteThe price above is for fitting of the memory module only. Memory either can be bought by you or via us but prices will vary greatly depending on how old you system is and what type of memory it needs.

Our servicing times are between the hours of 9.00 am to 7.00 pm Monday to Friday and 10.00 am to 5.30 on Saturdays.
